The week started off like any other. Except school is out now so our princess is home for the summer and already board to tears. (: And I have that song 'Schools out for Summer' ringing in my ears already for some reason?!
Monday I got an email at work saying that I was accepted to come back and work at the office. I had applied last week and didn't expect any 'official' work for awhile because it takes cooperations a long time typically to get back to you on things like this. Well to my surprise they got back to me this week. So I had to make a decision by Friday. I made many lists and had a couple sleepless nights trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I have more job options technically if I go back to the office and I can try to move out of my department. But if I work at the office. I am going to miss out on a lot of things with the kids and esp. with Isabella and school. So I decided the 'lesser' of two evils was probably to stay at work at home. I did make this decision in the final hour though .. 432pm on Friday to be exact. :)
In the end, I think its best for me to be around and home when my kids get back from school every day .. even if I am working, they know I am home. I just don't think I am ready for a big change like that right now. Let's hope I made the right choice!
We also visited another nursery school on Monday for Isabella. Probably the 1,298,429,001 school .. at least it seems that way. It was a suggestion from a friend, her children go there. It was quaint and I could totally see Isabella loving it there .. only problem was the price-tag. Going to be discussing this more on my Vacation week with the other 1/2. Sigh .. I hope we can get this whole school thing straightened out soon.
And the conclusion to a very long week ... was on Thursday night I was working in my office and I heard a really loud Firetruck. Guess where it was pulling into! Our condo complex. Yup .. and the condo right across from us was on FIRE! Thankfully nobody lives there! but Oh great! This didn't look good. They had to break in to the Condo, very loudly at around 10pm. Disturbing everybody! So most of the neighbors had gathered outside. Since it was the condo right across from us and the kids were sleeping, Juan and I were peering out the window watching everything that was going on. So the Firemen bring in one of their hoses and the thing broke somehow and it start spraying water everywhere and on everyone. LoL .. it was rather comical since we were safe inside our condo .. Is it evil that I am giggling again right now thinking about it?! haha! It was kinda nice to see some of the people on the Condo association get blasted with a high pressure water spray. Whoopsie! ;)
So that was an eventful night to say the least. It took them several hours to get the fire put out and everything under control. It was mostly contained to the 3rd story of that condo. Thankfully. It smelled terribly outside the next day and still kinda does. Juan went over there yesterday too, 'to check it out', lol and he smelled awful when he came inside after just being in there a couple minuets. Bleck! They think it was an electrical fire. Really scary, Lucky it was not any worst!
All and all I will certainly be glad when today is over. I have worked 12 plus hours almost every day in my work week for at least 3 weeks. I am in desperate need of some relaxation and cocktails!! In between planning Isabella's 5th bday, and school hunting and all other mommy duties that is! LoL .. Fun Fun!
